I’m having a great time with my music at the moment, played a few gigs, recording and my next gig is a very special one. 9th June at the home from home the @thebetseytrotwood I will be supporting my good friend and musician Peter Doolan as he launches his debut E.P Modern Bombs Don’t Tick. I’m delighted to be apart of this special night, and an added bonus my photography features on the E.P’s cover and inner sleeves, as well as the poster, which I’m tremendously proud of.
This Thursday I will performing at Biddle Bros, it’s really a brilliant line up which I’m very pleased to be apart of.
Film & Music by Richie Phillips
The Close is an instrumental and closing track from my debut album The Richie.
I like to expand my music beyond the more traditional singer songwriter style I normally play, and I enjoy very much creating sounds and textures using my electric guitar.
The film was made using my Sony A6000 and using the lights in a bar, which I filmed out of focus and then worked on to make the colours varied and interchanging.
I would like to leave the interpretation of what the film could be about to the viewer, though I wanted to create something that represented a city and its night, something I find very influential.
