I’ve decided I want to use my website a bit more for writing so I’m gonna start writing a few blogs either once week or whenever and about whatever. My music, music I’ve been listen to, films I see, places I go, art I like, anything really. And so to begin………
I thought I would start off by writing about something I enjoy very much and that’s going for a nice simple walk. Walking, excising in general is said to be good for the mind and I wouldn’t disagree. I find wondering the streets of my home city London very enjoyable, hugely relaxing and with the particular part of London where I live, I’m spoilt for choice with places to go. One of my favourite things about London is that it’s a very walkable city. There’s history all over place, some of it major, some of it minor but it’s there and all part of the thousands of stories London can tell.
This old town though and even away from recent events can be bit intense at times. It’s an infliction all major city share, it comes with the territory but there are pockets of sanctuary within this circus that can help relieve the stress, it’s parks. Recently I’ve been going for walks through St James’s Park, then on to Green Park, Hyde Park to finally arriving at Kensington Gardens. There’s a feeling of like stepping out of the dust, leaving the city behind and a sense of freedom anyway from daily life. Camera in hand enjoying the nature and the wildlife.

Earlier this year these parks were particularly amazing when we had snow fall, an event which isn’t all too common in London and opportunity I couldn’t resist venturing out with my camera.

St James’s Park is a favourite place of mine. I can spend ages there with my camera and taking photos of the flowers and wildlife.

Nature can be its own sculpture and work of art. Like a Jackson Pollock piece of art the trees twist and turn into beautiful shapes and patterns.

It’s been very strange and a scary time, one we all hope will end soon but I’m extremely glad and grateful to be able to get out for a bit and have these moments of solace in these great parks.
